Jewelry arrives here in shoeboxes, ziplock bags and velvet cases, and the sorting is the same either way: what has value as design, what has value as material, and what is costume that happens to look expensive. All three get separated in front of you and explained.
Signatures matter and they hide in awkward places — inside a clasp, under a bail, on the edge of a bracelet link. Cartier, Van Cleef, Bulgari, Tiffany, David Webb, Georg Jensen and a long list of smaller studios all carry premiums well beyond metal weight. We look for those marks before anything goes on the scale, because once a piece is priced as scrap the conversation is over.
Condition is not a barrier. Missing stones, snapped chains, bent prongs and clasps that gave up decades ago all still have value, and restoring a piece is our problem rather than yours.
